1. General Terms
1.1 Scope
These General Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services, activities, programs, and events provided by CCDASM, Unipessoal LDA operating under the brands Freddy Olander, Big Wave Experience, and Event Location Nazaré (“the Organizer”). By booking, registering, or participating in any of the Organizer’s offerings, the client (“Client”) agrees to these Terms in full.
1.2 Registration & Confirmation
Bookings must be made in writing via email, website booking form, or signed document. A booking becomes binding once confirmed in writing by the Organizer. The Organizer reserves the right to decline participation at its discretion.
1.3 Payment
All fees must be paid in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking. Invoices are issued by CCDASM, Unipessoal LDA.
1.4 Conditions of Participation
- Participation in all activities is at the participant’s own risk.
- The participant confirms that there are no medical restrictions preventing participation in any sporting, physical, or wellness activity.
- The minimum age for participation is 18 years. Exceptions may be made with written consent from a legal guardian.
- The participant must follow all safety instructions and act responsibly during all activities.
1.5 Image Rights & Media Usage
Participants consent to being photographed or filmed during events, sessions, or activities. These materials may be used by the Organizer for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes without further compensation. Participants may withdraw this consent in writing before the event or activity begins.
1.6 Data Protection
The Organizer processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the GDPR. For full details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
2. Speaker & Keynotes
This section applies to all keynote speaking engagements, panel appearances, and corporate presentations delivered by Freddy Olander. For more information visit freddyolander.com/speaker.
2.1 Booking & Confirmation
All speaking engagements must be confirmed in writing including date, location, duration, topic, and agreed fee. The booking is binding upon written confirmation by both parties.
2.2 Fees & Expenses
The speaker fee is agreed individually per engagement. Travel, accommodation, and additional expenses are invoiced separately unless otherwise agreed. All fees are subject to applicable Portuguese VAT.
2.3 Cancellation by the Client
- More than 60 days before the event: €150 administrative fee
- 30–60 days before: 25% of the agreed fee
- 15–29 days before: 50% of the agreed fee
- 7–14 days before: 75% of the agreed fee
- Less than 7 days before: 100% of the agreed fee
2.4 Cancellation by the Organizer
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a speaking engagement due to illness, force majeure, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. In such cases, the Client will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of any fees paid.
2.5 Intellectual Property
All presentation content, materials, and intellectual property produced by Freddy Olander remain the exclusive property of the Organizer. Recording, reproduction, or distribution of any presentation requires prior written consent.
3. Workshops & Coaching
This section applies to all workshops, breathwork sessions, performance coaching, and group or individual coaching programs. For more information visit freddyolander.com/workshops.
3.1 Health & Fitness
Participants confirm that they are in good physical and mental health and that there are no medical conditions that would prevent safe participation in physical or breathwork activities. Participants with pre-existing conditions should consult a medical professional before booking.

- More than 14 days before: full refund minus €50 administrative fee
- 7–14 days before: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before: no refund
3.4 Cancellation by the Organizer
If a workshop is cancelled by the Organizer due to insufficient participants (minimum 3 persons), weather, safety concerns, or force majeure, participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
4. Customised Packages
This section applies to all bespoke and tailored packages combining speaking, coaching, Big Wave Experience, and event services. For more information visit freddyolander.com/customised.
4.1 Scope of Services
Customised packages are agreed individually in writing. The scope of services, timeline, and pricing are confirmed in a separate written proposal or contract. The terms of that proposal take precedence over these general Terms where they differ.
4.2 Payment Terms
Customised packages typically require a deposit of 50% upon booking confirmation, with the remaining balance due no later than 14 days before the start of services. Full payment terms will be specified in the written proposal.
4.3 Changes & Cancellations
Changes to agreed customised packages must be requested in writing and are subject to availability and additional costs. Cancellation terms follow the schedule in Section 2.3 (Speaker) or Section 3.3 (Workshops) depending on the primary service component, unless otherwise specified in the written proposal.
5. Big Wave Experience
This section applies to all activities organised under the Big Wave Experience brand, including jet ski tours, tow-in experiences, ocean observation, safety briefings, and related on-water activities at Nazaré, Portugal. For more information visit freddyolander.com/bigwaveexperience.
5.1 Description of Risks
5.2 Personal Responsibility & Assumption of Risk
Participants confirm that they:
- Are solely responsible for their own safety and decisions during the Activity
- Are physically and mentally fit and capable swimmers
- Are not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing substances
- Hold appropriate accident, medical, or travel insurance covering high-risk water sports, or accept full personal risk if they do not
- Voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with the Activity
5.3 Release of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Portuguese law, participants release, waive, and agree not to hold liable the Organizer, its staff, partners, sponsors, volunteers, or representatives for any claim, injury, damage, or expense arising from participation, including personal injury, illness, disability, death, or property loss or damage.
5.4 Safety & Conduct
Participants agree to follow all instructions given by the Organizer without exception, wear all required safety equipment, and refrain from reckless actions that endanger themselves or others. The Organizer reserves the right to remove any participant from the Activity without refund if safety rules are not followed.
5.5 Cancellation by the Client
- More than 14 days before: full refund minus transaction fees
- 7–14 days before: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before: no refund
5.6 Cancellation by the Organizer
The Organizer may cancel or reschedule any Activity due to weather conditions, tidal activity, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants may choose between rescheduling or a full refund. All fees for services already rendered are non-refundable.
5.7 Media Consent
By participating, clients automatically grant the Organizer perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free rights to capture, use, and distribute photographs, video, and audio recordings taken during the Activity for promotional, commercial, and educational purposes in any format without notice, approval, or additional compensation. Participants may withdraw this consent in writing before the Activity begins.
6. Event Location Nazaré
This section applies to all bookings of the Event Location at Nazaré Harbour, Portugal, for corporate events, private functions, team experiences, and related services.
6.1 Bookings
All event bookings must be confirmed in writing. A booking is binding upon receipt of the required deposit. The Organizer reserves the right to decline bookings at its discretion.
6.2 Use of Facilities
The event location and all facilities are to be used responsibly and in accordance with any house rules communicated at the time of booking. Clients are responsible for any damage caused by their guests or participants during the event.
6.3 Liability & Safety
Use of all facilities is at the client’s own risk. The Organizer is not liable for theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings, or for injuries or health issues arising from facility use, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
6.4 Noise & Neighbourhood Rules
All events must respect local noise regulations and community rules. Quiet hours apply as required by Portuguese law. Failure to comply may result in early termination of the event without refund.
6.5 Cancellation by the Client
- More than 30 days before: full refund minus deposit
- 15–30 days before: 50% refund of total amount
- Less than 15 days before: no refund
6.6 Cancellation by the Organizer
If the Organizer must cancel a confirmed event booking due to force majeure, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond reasonable control, the Client will receive a full refund of all payments made.
7. Legal Provisions
7.1 Limitation of Liability
The Organizer’s contractual liability is limited to three times the booking price unless the damage was caused intentionally or by gross negligence. The Organizer is not liable for injuries, accidents, or health issues arising from voluntary participation in activities, loss or damage to personal items, or services provided by third-party partners.
7.2 Complaints
Any complaints or service defects must be reported immediately to the Organizer on-site or in writing within 14 days of the activity or event. Claims not reported within this period cannot be accepted.
7.3 Statute of Limitations
Claims arising from defective services or non-performance must be submitted in writing within one month after the end of the activity. Claims expire one year after the contractual end date of the service.
7.4 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the Portuguese Republic. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Nazaré, Portugal.
7.5 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with one that most closely reflects its original purpose and intent.
7.6 Amendments
The Organizer reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The most recent version will always be available at freddyolander.com/terms-conditions. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
