This is the most complete on-water experience offered by Big Wave Experience. Over 2 to 3 hours you will go through every layer of professional big wave surfing: from the briefing and preparation at the Big Wave Center, to tow-in surfing on flat water, to the big wave zone itself at Praia do Norte.
Designed for surfers and non-surfers alike, this experience is adapted to your level. You do not need to be an experienced surfer to participate. The tow-in session takes place on flat water and our team adjusts the pace to your comfort and skill level throughout the entire session.

The Big Wave Center in Nazaré harbour is the professional base of operations, where equipment is maintained, sessions are briefed and debriefed, and where the team prepares for the waves that make Nazaré famous worldwide.
What Is the Difference Between the Jet Ski Tour and the Surfer Experience?
The Guided Jet Ski Tour (from €290) takes you into the big wave zone on a rescue sled where you observe and feel the power of the waves from the water. The Big Wave Surfer Experience (€590) goes further: it adds a full tow-in surfing session on flat water where you actually get to ride waves behind the jet ski, plus rescue training and a full keynote at the Big Wave Center. It is the most complete package available, the perfect entrance training for tow-in big wave surfing, and the closest you can get to experiencing what professional big wave surfing actually feels like.
